Concrete Engineer

The Concrete Engineer will be responsible for coordinating, filing, tracking, logging, and communicating information and documentation on a project. The Concrete Engineer will provide both technical and administrative assistance to the Project Manager and Superintendent, as required.

Develops a thorough understanding of project plans and contractual documents.

Develops strong relationships with our clients, client representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and other parties.

Participates in the success of the company and protects it from risk factors such as incidents, cost overruns, delays, and rework.

Initializes and keeps up to date the project document logs for RFIs, Drawings, Submittals, etc.

Assumes responsibility for coordinating and tracking the distribution and storage of all projects engineering documents, including drawing sets, specifications, sketches, ASIs, permits, etc.

Organizes, manages, and tracks the entire submittal/shop drawing review process to ensure that all required submittals are reviewed and approved in a timely matter and will not disrupt the construction schedule.

Assists Superintendent and Project Safety Manager in the creation of a project-specific safety plan.

Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of the project team, and in conjunction with Project Superintendent, assumes overall responsibility and accountability for the success of the project.

Operates as the main point of contact between All 5's and the Owner (and/or Owner's Representatives) to develop and maintain the best possible professional relationship.

Oversees the Project Engineers and ensures that Engineer responsibilities are performed in an accurate and timely manner.

Works as a team with the Project Superintendent to ensure delivery of a safe, quality, profitable project that meets or exceeds the Owner's expectations.

Manages the contractual relationships between All 5's and subcontractors to provide a fair opportunity for subcontractors to successfully fulfill their obligations on the project.

Works with the Project Executive to protect All 5's contractual and business interests.

Superintendent

Efficiently manages field operations, including the creation of a project environment that allows the Assistant Superintendent and Foremen to complete their jobs effectively.

Possesses the ability to direct others through clear and accurate communication of the project schedules.

Prepares the concrete estimate, including labor productions, equipment productions, materials, and subcontractor pricing ready for the Lead Estimator and Director of Preconstruction assigned to the project, review, and approval.

For successful projects, finalizes estimate in job-cost format ready for insertion into project accounting system to track actual production rates.

Monitors weekly labor reports and communicates with Operations to understand cause of any variances from estimate.

Delegates and reviews all contract documents including structural, architectural, civil, landscape, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical plans along with specifications and soils reports.

Prepares quantity surveys for concrete and concrete related items.

Reviews quotations for required strengths of concrete and from form suppliers for systems in cooperation with Operations team assigned to project.

Oversees the concrete General Conditions in cooperation with Operations team and Project Lead Estimator.

Ensures that lumber suppliers are contacted in a timely manner and review quotations for current lumber and plywood pricing.

Reviews and approves the concrete estimate labor productions, equipment productions, materials, and subcontractor pricing with the Director of Preconstruction.

Maintains cost/production history database and concrete database within estimating program system, ensures it is updated by Project Estimators, as necessary.

Leads all required inter-department meetings, and hand-offs as related to projects.
